We deliver programmes that support long-term development
We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.
Right Education Foundation has worked in Uganda since 2016 and
has programmes throughout the country. We work in partnerships
with district and community leaders, local civil society organizations
and school administrations to deliver programmes that have a lasting
impact, inspire change and uphold children’s rights. Our work
supports long-term development, and bridges the gap between the
children and the school.
Since 2016, our work in Uganda directly reached 4,500 people,
including 3,000 children, and indirectly benefited a further five
thousand.
Programs
We focus on these thematic areas:
Advocacy: All children have the right to education, But Not All children receive the Right
Education.
Christel Junior School
Christel Junior School, a vital part of REF Uganda, is dedicated to providing quality education and health services to children in rural areas. We focus on retaining children in school, preventing early pregnancies, and promoting basic health facilities.
Our programs address barriers like early pregnancies and HIV/AIDS among students and teachers. By offering regular health check-ups, awareness campaigns, and essential medical supplies, we create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Through these efforts, Christel Junior School fosters academic and personal growth, empowering students to break the cycle of poverty and positively impact their communities.
Christ Love Ministries
In 1860, the American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson quoted that ‘The first wealth is health’
We know that the child’s education is directly affected by his/her health conditions. Most of the diseases affecting children in our societies are actually preventable. Most children suffer from deficiency diseases caused by mulnutrition or lack of balanced diet meals. Besides deficiency diseases, malaria has greatly affected the lives of many people leading to deaths as well yet it can also be controlled by just sleeping under well treated mosquito nets. We are mandated to sensitize communities about feeding their children with inexpensive food stuffs which are rich in proteins, carbohydrates and vitamins to reduce the rate of retardation amongst the school age children. A healthy child will have full concentration during the class lessons unlike the one with health issues.
Bethel Children’s Ministry
At REF Uganda, we are deeply committed to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children. Bethel Children’s Ministry is dedicated to addressing issues of abuse, marginalization, and neglect. We advocate for the welfare and development of children and youth, providing a safe environment where they can thrive. Our programs raise awareness about child rights, support victims of abuse, and promote policies that protect and empower children.
Leadership
Teachers are the backbone of our educational initiatives. REF Uganda invests in the professional growth and development of teachers through Christel Junior School. We offer comprehensive training programs that equip teachers with advanced teaching methods, financial literacy, and life-sustaining skills. Our Teachers’ Investment Club encourages a culture of savings and financial independence, ensuring that teachers can sustain themselves and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of their students.
Global Educational Partnership
Collaborative Educational Efforts
Our Executive Director Mr. Charles Mpanga met with professor John McPeak from Syracuse University – New York City (USA) during the Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange Program organized by Franklyn Institute of Public Management and Leadership at the American Center to discuss different ways how REF UGANDA can design and implement educational programs that will create a long lasting impact in the lives of children, youths and community members.
Right Education Foundation works hard to develop the whole child –
mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Church and Ministry
Make Church a special place!
In Uganda, God continues to challenge Christians and missionaries as He does to other
countries to train more leaders who are inspired by His Spirit to proclaim His truth and life-
saving love. Many people from different parts of the country need to hear the word of God
which brings the statement that Jesus made to its full meaning “The harvest is ready, but the
labourers are few.” God is waiting for His people to step out in faith and preach His word but
if not ready, He has the 7,000 who have never bowed down before the idols. Do you wish to
join out team? Discover how you can do it so that we can serve Ugandan communities
through children and youth, compassionate, education, pastoral training, and many more!
